Virtue is thrilled to announce that in partnership with RAD (Redcarpet ADvocacy), we’re teaming up with Charlie’s Angels writer, director, producer & actress Elizabeth Banks to support She’s the First, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting gender inequality worldwide. In collaboration with the powerhouse female cast of Charlie’s Angels, we hope to raise money and awareness for an incredible organization to uplift women through education—and help them become the ‘angels’ of tomorrow.

Alongside Virtue’s Creative Director and celebrity hair stylist Adir Abergel, Elizabeth Banks and the Charlie’s Angels cast will be wearing special Angel Wing pins all month to bring awareness to the cause. Why She’s the First?

She’s the First is a nonprofit that partners with grassroots organizations in 11 different countries. The goal? To keep girls on track so they can complete a full 12 years of education. They take a holistic approach to their work by finding and supporting solutions that not only educate and empower girls but also build up the communities where they are able to flourish.

Girls around the world still face an astonishing amount of prejudice and are often denied their right to an education, told when and who to marry, and dismissed from leadership. When girls are educated, respected, and heard, the result can be transformational. She will earn up to 20% more as an adult with each additional year of schooling, she’ll be less likely to marry early and more likely to be in a healthy relationship, and she’ll have fewer, healthier children.

She’s the First doesn’t stop with individual girls. They work with partners and youth leaders to run trainings, conferences, and advocacy campaigns, to develop communities that support their girls and unlock the possibilities of their futures.
